Alexa not starting with button

I just got a Versa 2. I have everything set up and can open and use Alexa if I swipe left and click on the app. If I press the button on the side of the watch, it doesnt activate Alexa. When I press the button my notifications and the icons for my wallet, music and quick settings pop up. How do I fix it so that the button activates Alexa?

Are you holding the button in instead of just pressing it?

Yes, I was. I did figure out a fix. I needed to go into settings and set
what the button was used for. Somehow it had been changed.
