Android app not showing friends step count

Since the last update, my friends activity is not showing. All of my friends just say, " no recent activity." I know they have activity,  because I'm in many challenges they invite me to. What gives?

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times. I know there's a syncing issue with apple pie 9.0 still and that's very apparent, and this additional issue seemed to pop up around that same time.

      Any suggestions for a fix?

LiliyaFitbit,

I had already done everything you suggested, many times over. It is not a solution.

@blueisis02, unfortunately this has been going on for a l-o-o-o-o-ng time now & there is another discussion thread about this in the community forum when you search “missing step count”. As much as everyone says this has to be glitch and explained the situation we have received no answers or feedback to a definitive solution. We have described the issue as being that the step count is visible on your “friends list” however shows “no activity” when you switch over to inviting friends to step challenge mode. This can’t be resolved with uninstalling since you can see the step count depending on the view you are in (reg friend list or challenge invite mode). I don’t know if any Fitibt techs are seeing this or if there will ever be a resolution. You basically to log into your account at Fitibit.com while you go to your step challenge & choose the friends to invite on the app challenge based on the step count ranking you see on your friends list from the website. Not very convenient but nobody seems to care or get it!

Thank-you for letting me know. It's kinda ridiculous that the fitbit tech
support doesn't seem concerned about the issues their product is having
with the Android platform. That's too bad, bc if they don't figure it out,
I have NO QUALMS CHANGING PLATFORMS and trying a competitor's product.
Let's cross our fingers and hope they start caring about us Android
consumers!🤞🤞

This suggestion DOES NOT fix the issue.

Is there something else you can suggest to solve this problem?

It’s sad that Fitbit wants to charge premium prices to access “new and improved” features, yet they ignore the functionality of basics such as seeing step counts when you try and invite folks to challenges. Why should I have to log into my Fitbit online account to see step counts while i start the challenge requests on my app? So frustrating. You would think that Fitbit would come up with tutorials here if it is that easy for us to rectify on our own.
