Battery draining quickly and difficulties to sync

Forgive me if I sound fed up but to be honest, I'm fed up.  This watch is expensive and I have gotten no enjoyment out of it.

Here are the details:

  • I have a Google Pixel 3 phone
  • Versa purchased in December 2018
  • Replaced this Versa the 1st time in January 2019 because the battery would not hold a charge for longer than 12 hours
  • The replacement would not sync reliably to my Pixel 3.  Constantly had to remove the device and resync it.
  • Then the replacement would not hold a charge for longer than 12 hours.
  • Replaced the replacement in June 2019
  • This one is holding a charge - so far - but refuses to sync to my Pixel 3 again

Here are the other issues with Fitbit:

  • The app logs me out CONSTANTLY.  Why can't it just stay logged in?  Or at least offer to remember the password?
  • If you forget your password, you have to change it to something you have never used with Fitbit before.  This causes you to forget your password again.  Its just a fitness tracker, it doesn't need to be that secure.
  • Notifications always work with the new Versa for about a week.  Then, like clockwork, you can count on them to stop working for no reason.  When I got my 2nd replacement, I knew it would stop showing notifications after 5 or 6 days and sure enough, it did.

My Versa hasn't synced with my phone since Aug 16 - fifteen days ago.  I should not have to repeatedly remove the Versa from the app and re-add it.  This has happened with all three Versas that I have had.  I have gone through ALL of the troubleshooting I can find.  Turning off BT and turning it back on, removing the device, re-adding the device, restarting all of the devices, etc etc etc.

This is frustrating because I have spent SO much time troubleshooting and writing on forums just trying to get this thing to work at a basic level and it doesn't.

What I want to know from Fitbit is:

  1. Is there a design flaw with the battery that causes the Versa to drain abnormally quickly (12 hours)
  2. Is it not compatible with the Pixel 3?  If so, that needs to be said before we buy the thing.

The Google Pixel 3 is fully compatible to sync with Fitbit devices.

There is not a design flaw with the battery of the Fitbit Versa.
