Battery life

I have a Versa that is less than a year old.  I used to get 4 1/2 days before the battery is low warning, even with the heart rate on.  Now, within the last month, I am getting about 2 - 2 1/2 days without the heart rate turned on.  This started a couple weeks before the announcement of the new Versa 3.  Did Fitbit pull an Apple and cripple the battery life on their Versa products in order to get more orders for the new Versa coming out?

Hi @bigbad401

I have seen a few other posts and this also happened to my husbands Versa, but after several resets the battery is back to holding a charge for 4 days. Naturally as devices age battery life shortens, but Fitbit isn't doing anything malicious to prompt you to purchase a Versa 3. Try a few restarts (one right after the other) and watch your batter over the next couple of days.

To restart, hold down the button for 10+ seconds, the screen will go dark, then the Fitbit logo will appear. Let it cycle all the way thru, then restart again. I'm not sure why, but doing it multiple times has been reported as fixing the issue.

Good luck!

It has been reset about three times and did a battery cycle test (drain to zero and charge back to 100%).  The difference in battery performance happened almost overnight.  I know that batteries age and lose capacity, but they have a life cycle that it usually happens with.  It should not happen in about 8 months of the products being new.

Since the latest update my battery drains very quick. I have everything off that I don't use. No GPS or notifications, also all.day sync is off. Not sure what happened??
