Brand new Versa 2 multiple issues

Purchased a brand new Versa 2 after having a Charge 2 for almost 3 years. Was super excited to upgrade. Have charged it up and switched it on and the only thing working is the total steps and the calories burned, and the time and date. Nothing else. Heart rate is not working; it is switched on in settings on the device and the app. Lights are not flashing or on at all, they haven’t as yet. Steps per hour is not working. Notifications are not working. Etc. I have switched the device off and on several times to no avail. I have searched through this forum trying to find helpful answers but the only thing I am finding is that maybe the Versa 2 is not a good buy. Help resolving the issues would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I may need to return the device.

If that is the case and anyone has any suggestions on devices that actually work I would appreciate that also.
