I have been reading the forum queries on the same thing and still confused. I am trying to lose weight and doing a calorie defecit of 1000. I have checked my profile settings and they are all correct yet it’s telling me to eat over 2500 calories and that I am burning 3500 calories on days I don’t even go to the gym. I am finding it hard to get in zone as I am eating way too much (all healthy foods) and still says I am under target but surely I can’t be burning that many calories not doing any exercise? I used another calculator which says my BMR with no exercise should be around 2036 so where does the 3500 come from? So confused

@MargWaha One thing to check is to go to your profile page and make sure your gender, age, weight and height are correct. https://www.fitbit.com/settings/profile

Best AnswerMy details are correct - I think it’s because I suffer from tachycardia my heart rate is sitting in the burn fat zone most of the day when I am not actually exercising- I have fixed the issue by just manually setting my calories.
