Can I check a text message while on a run?

Is it possible on a Versa 3 to check a text message while using the running app and on a run?  I get a vibration notification, but I can't seem to get to the text.

Hi @Runninrep  - presumably you have your phone with you and the vibration is for a notification message and not a run related information?

In principle pulling down from the top edge of the watch face will display the notification summaries.

I figured out my problem to be that when I run and my fingers get sweaty,
it makes it very difficult to swipe in any direction on the Versa 3.
