Can I sync my FitBit Versa through FitBit Connect?

I recently got a FitBit Versa, my first one. I borrowed a phone from a friend to set it up, but I move pretty frequently, and now I can't borrow their phone to sync. Currently my only option is public computers. I've got a bluetooth dongle, but the computer that I can use right now doesn't have windows 10. So here's the question:

Can I sync my FitBit Versa through FitBit connect using a bluetooth dongle? Or do I have to use the FitBit app?

I'm happy to answer your question about the possibility of syncing your Fitbit Versa through Fitbit Connect using a Bluetooth dongle. Thank you for the information provided. If you have a Windows 8.1 or a Windows XP you should be able to sync your watch using the Fitbit dongle without any problem. You can download Fitbit Connect from this site.

The Fitbit app is available only for Windows 10 and mobile devices. If you experience any difficulties to sync, please follow these troubleshooting steps.

It will be necessary a Fitbit Dongle which can be purchased through the Fitbit Store. 

A generic Bluetooth dongle might not let you sync your Fitbit Versa.
