Can't Get Google Assistant Notifications on my Versa 3

I have just obtained a Versa 3 and have selected Goggle Assistant. I can give commands fine from both my watch and RAZR phone. However, if I ask for a reminder, for example, I only get the notification on my phone. It does NOT appear at all on the watch. I have checked that the notifications are on. I have unpaired the watch and re-paired it. I have restarted both devices. Both devices are up to date and I'm using the latest public version of the FitBit app and Google Assistant. Any suggestions? 

 

Really need to this work because there are times when I just can check the phone.
