Can't setup Versa

Hi,

 

I bought a new versa from Amazon, but im having no luck setting it up. I get to setting up WIFI  and then when it tries to update the firmware it reaches 10% and gets the red X every time. Ive tried rebooting the versa, resetting the bluetooth, uninstalling and reinstalling the versa but nothing is working. Ive tried with my pocophone f1 and my samsung tablet and neither makes a difference. Does anyone have any ideas?

Tried to setup via Bluetooth overnight but it didn't work either. I was pretty excited about trying out Fitbit but first impressions count. This is like the dark old days of tech development.

I have tried all the trouble shooting and I cannot get my Versa to sync with my iphone 8
