It’s great to see that the new update has changed Alexa to voice assistant. So now you can choose Alexa or google assistant from the app or don’t connect at all. Thank you for sending it to the developers.

No I do not believe so. But you can just not log in and shut it off if you have it as your shortcut for a long press

Please add my name to make this go away for Alexa. It keeps trying to have me sign up. I don't have one and don't want one

Alexa is really helpful. You dont have to have an Alexa to use it.

If people like Alexa, fine but make it possible to remove. I know your new Google bosses won't let you but...

I have been using Fitbit versa 2 since it came out. I am really happy with it. But after Fitbit got bought, I was expecting some changes of course. Now with unremovable Alexa, it is giving me Samsung vibes where you couldn't delete Facebook and all the other forced apps. I switched my phone brand after that. I was thinking of getting a new versa but I don't know if I feel comfortable anymore with these type of forced product placements. I'd have really preferred if they have made it optional for the people who don't own or don't want these 3rd party apps.

I hope see the day when we have a choice. Clippy died, so there's hope, I guess

The user can always remove Alexa from the quick menu, then you will not be able to start Alexa

My fitbit Blaze finally crapped out after about 5 years.
I was looking at getting another Blaze. But not for what they want for them ($260-$400).
I considered the Versa. But seeing it has alexa on it and it can't be removed, I guess I'll start looking the apple watches and see what shakes out.
I absolutely will not be buying a watch, that may or may not be listening to me.

True, you can not remove Alexa but you don't have to set it up, and can re-asign the buttons. Then Alexa can not be activated.
