Changing spotify songs while in exercise mode

I noticed on my run today (first time using my Versa 2 for a workout) that I can't even launch the spotify app on my fitbit so I can change songs. I hit the home button and it only changed my view of what I saw for my running exercise. Can we not change songs on spotify via the fitbit while an exercise mode is running?

yes you can, just make a movement from top to bottom as if you were to read a notification, the menu will appear and you click on the music controls to open them.

This is not possible from the Spotify App on your watch, that is intended more for Smart home control.

What you need to do is connect your phone to your watch through the Music app/Settings, to control music from your phone (the watch explains how to do this).

Then you can access the Music controls from the Drop-Down menu (where you can see notifications). This does use a little bit of extra battery, so you should only enable this type of music control before you start your workout and disconnect it afterwards.

Does this work with Spotify music? In here is pointed out that you can only control "stock" music using builtin controls:

I also found it out today. I also that think bluetooth gets disconnected when connected gps is running.  

Fit bit should update this functionality
