I'm trying to customize my Clean & Smart face, but now it's stuck in switching.

I haven't found a definite answer, but let the Fitbit app run in the background on the phone. Eventually it gets fixed

Thank you for trying. When it would allow me I just deleted the ones that
gave me trouble. Its fixed now.
