I've logged into Spotify but my versa 2 says to open Spotify on a device to connect. Also says to check my Bluetooth connection. It's synced and everything else works. Just can't use Spotify

Do you receive notifications and can open the weather app?

Yes. I have Spotify premium. I receive messages and notifications. I can open the weather app on my watch.
