Data not cleared. Sync and try again

This is the message I get when I try to get my fit bit to work again.  "Data not cleared, sync and try again.  I have tried to sync several times and get the same result.  My battery is at 87%.  Is there anything I can do to get it to work again.  Or is it just done after 3 months of use.

Hi @Docook  Try a Factory Reset. If that doesnt  lear it younwill need to contact Customer Support 

Fitbit Support  

 

BUTTON FACTORY RESET FOR VERSA 2 AND VERSA LITE
Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. 
When the Fitbit logo disappears: Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). 
Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates the factory reset.

Thank you for the advice however it didn't work.  I have tried everything suggested  on support site with no results.
