Data not cleared, sync and try again after Factory Reset

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My phone has been unpaired/deleted from the device with Bluetooth, that was the first thing I did before the factory reset.

Now after doing the factory reset, I am getting the message "Data not cleared, sync and try again". Well I cant sync it because it as disabled/deleted from Bluetooth prior to the reset, and now I cant get past this screen on my Versa no matter what I do.

Help! 😞

Hi @kdrakoczy -

Can you please do a restart to reboot the system?  seems it's stuck somehow.

  1. Press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. For Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

I did that before I posted here. Should have mentioned that! Sorry!

But it didn't work.

@kdrakoczy Can you please remove the device from your fitbit account, if you have not already done so (I wasn't sure if you had only removed from bluetooth).

Then please replace it on your fitbit account.

Let me know if this helps.

Yeah I removed it a couple days ago because I was having issues with it synching. It didn't synch for 3 days. So I removed it, tried to reset it up again, and it wouldn't work.

So that is when I went the factory reset route. There should be no ties with my phone and Versa. I cant seem to think of any reason why I am getting that message. ugh. 😞

I am having same issue.  Fitbit would not sync to my phone.  Deleted devide from my fitbit app and bluetooth.  Did a factory reset and now I can't even add the Versa back onto my account.  It is not recognizing the device.  ALmost like there is an issue with the versa and it not being able to talk to bluetooth.  I have tried to readd my versa to fitbit by phone app, an android tablet and a laptop.

@trhops @kdrakoczy Did you both restart your phones after removing the device?

Have you tried re-installing the fitbit app? Not sure if this will help the problem, but I have heard this helps some syncing issues.

If these options fail, please reach out to support, as I don't know what else I can suggest to help.

Yeah I did those steps as well. They are sending me a replacement

Does anyone know if the replacements are brand new and not refurbished?
