Data not cleared sync and try again message on Versa

I have the Fitbit versa. I have a red X in a circle saying data not cleared. I cant get rid if this. Please can you help me to fix it. I have an android device and the the watch isnt linked to any account so I am unable to pair it with my android device either. Kindly Help.

Thanks for the details in your post. The "data not cleared" message will appear if a factory reset was performed so you need to setup your watch again. Hey there,
I tried to set it up again but my phone is unable to locate the versa regardless of it being on. While my phone is supposed to search for the versa is the versa still supposed to show the "Data not cleared" or is there supposed to be a fitbit logo or something? Unable to solve this issue kindly help.

Hi, @Manozya. Thanks for the update.

Regarding your inquiry, your Versa will display the "data not cleared" message until your phone finds it and shows the 4 digits pairing code. Please check if your watch is paired to your phone's Bluetooth by going to your phone's Settings. If your watch is paired to your Bluetooth, please unpair it and try the setup one more time.

I tried to do as you asked me too and have found no luck. My versa isn't able to be found and i can't see the 4 digit pairing code regardless of trying on different devices. Kindly Help.

I went to Fitbit Support Chat. This is what they told me to do.

 

Make sure phone software up to date

Make sure Fitbit been left to charge for approximately 2 hours so has a decent charge ( mine was at like50%)

Make sure Bluetooth on on phone

make sure Fitbit app up to date- check on App store

Make sure have good WIFi connection

Go to Fitbit app on phone

in top left corner click account

select +Set Up a Device

if prompted select Replace

keep Fitbit near phone

You will be resetting up Versa

You will get grey Fitbit logo on Fitbit and a progress bar and Downloading progression on Fitbit app on phone

 

Then follow through steps on Fitbit and phone to re-setup Versa

 

this has worked for me so hope it works for you.

It is like the Fitbit got lost so you have to reconnect it all over again.

Nothing seems to be working. Is there any chance to factory reset it using a PC or the cable?
