A warm welcome to the Community @PJ-C.
Could you please be more specific about the issue you are experiencing? What exercise are you trying to register? Have you tried to restart your Versa? If you haven't, I recommend restarting it by doing the following:
Keep in mind that you can always manually log your activities by following the instructions provided in the How do I manually log an activity or exercise? article or you can also find more information about how to register your activities in the How do I track my exercise and activities with Fitbit? article.
Hope to hear from you soon. ![]()

Why cant I choose what are the exercise I track manually. I don't like how fitbit auto tracks elliptical exercise. I doesn't work very well. I would rather track it manually like my charge 2. May return the Versa if this doesn't change.

From your fitbit app... Click on the lil versa at the top right to bring it to the settings of the versa...
Scroll down to find "Exercise shortcuts"
You can swipe away ones you don't use and then click on the "+" at the top right and add elliptical to it.
Then just start it when you begin your elliptical time

I have this same problem and my Versa will not track walking for the last 2 days. If I manually log it, it then adds extra steps and mileage. Spoke to support who weren’t very helpful and still awaiting someone to get back to me. It’s a week old!

Did you ever get this fixed? Mine has been doing this since I had to do a filmware update Christmas eve.

My heart rate monitor and fitness measurements have not been working properly since firmware update.
Heart beat monitor stops after sometime and only reconnects after watch reboot.
Heavy F45 workouts each morning are not being picked up by the Fitbit and have to be entered manually... defeating the purpose of having the watch.

I don't understand what you mean by the pressing the back left and bottom buttons. Where? On the phone itself? On my Versa?

This is so annoying that it doesn't track my days. Hopefully, Fitbit can figure out what's happening and do and update.

I just got a new Versa and it is supposed to auto track my exercise, specifically my walking, but it's not. To be fair, it only intermittently tracked on my charge 2. When I do it manually it adds steps and I dint like that. How do I fix it?

My fitbit Versa 2 will track my exercise automatically but it glitches out and doesn’t track my exercise manually

I don't know how to fix it, so I just select pilates on my without options and let it run all day so that it will pick up my heart rate and count active minute . My blaze always did a great job of catching my activity between workouts. If the battery would hold a charge, I'd stop be using it. I really hate my Versa.
