Just wondering if i was to purchase a Fit sense does all the data captured by my Versa 2 continue with the Sense ? ie km walked , sleep data etc .
Or do i have to start again ?

The data is attached to your account, not the device. I have had three different models of Heart Rate capable devices and my data still goes back prior to August 2017 when I got my first HR device the Alta HR. I just checked and I have a step record back to December 2014.
When you get your new device you will remove the Versa 2 and then add the Sense. All done within the mobile app.
Sync your Versa 2.
Tap your account icon on the Today screen - upper left.
Tap the "Versa 2" tile.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Versa 2 screen
Tap "Remove This Versa 2"
If the app doesn't take you back to the account screen, then tap the back-arrow at the top left.
Tap "+ Set Up a Device"
Follow the instructions - they should be very similar to the instructions your were presented with when you added the Versa 2.
