Is it possible to unistall the last update on my versa, it was working fine now goes from 65% to 0% in a couple of hours and all I have is a black screen, can't sync with phone as no device found, tried ALL the tips, hints etc to no avail, fitbit less than 6 months old and was a present so can't even take it back for a refund

Hi @OldVic, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our and for trying some troubleshooting steps before to posting over here. Let me share with you that it's not possible to uninstall the latest firmware update of your device. However, if the screen is not turning on as it should, if you haven't already done so I recommend you to try our restart process and let me know if the issue persists.

Looking forward to your reply.

Tried the reset and still nothing, looks like a common problem just seen others in community with similar posts regarding black screen, now feeling totally depressed as retired and living on a pension simply can't afford to replace it.

Your reply is appreciated @OldVic.

I understand your frustration, thanks for troubleshooting your device with me. Since the restart process didn't fix this situation, please follow the next steps to perform a factory reset on your device:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

I'll be waiting for your reply is further assistance is needed.

My Versa Lite suddenly died. Black screen. Won't charge or reset. This happened a week or 2 ago too, I posted the problem, the next day it suddenly started working again.

Today, it happened again. It was charged but suddenly died, black screen, won't charge. Its been like this since this morning, still not working. Can you please offer help OTHER than to reset it. Thanks

BeeDown, sorry that email was an hour ago, another one followed when I got your second message. Sorry I can't offer any real help other than to try what Ricardo says and if no luck perhaps he can create a case for you as he has done for me. Gone midnight here so time for my bed. Good luck.

Thanks Vic, I realized after I replied that your email wasn't from Ricardo.
Sorry about that. He created a case for me, but I don't know what that
necessarily even means... Fitbit still isn't working at all.

Hi me again, like you I have no idea what the case involves but I have had a bit of luck, I was given a phone number by a friend for their help desk here in England and after a short chat they agreed to supply a replacement under warranty, I also see at the top of the page they recognize there is a problem and are working to fix it.

Mine suddenly began working. It was unresponsive for over 24 hours, then
just randomly turned back on. This same thing happened 2 weeks ago.
Frustrating. I'm so happy to hear you're getting a replacement. I've had
mine for about a year I believe, and I'm not sure if its still under
warranty. Best of luck with your new device!! 🙂
