Distance on app different to exercise?

I just completed a 13mile + ride. I started it from the Versa 2 via the exercise app. It's showing on my app itself, shows the map, avg speed etc, all sent to Strava too...

 

However on the app dashboard, my distance travelled today is only showing 0.51miles...

 

Anyone else had this issue? any resolutions, it just doesn't make any sense why the 2 don't communicate in the same app...

You mention a ride  @Jamie2094o is this a bike ride?

Only step distance is added to the days total
