Distance on auto recognised exercises

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I own a versa 2. I have observed that versa 2 does not track distances on auto recognised exercises such as walking/running/biking.

when I check the exercise settings, it shows that any exercise done for more than 15 minutes will be auto recognised and mentions that GPS is not turned on. I did not find a way to turn the GPS on for these exercises. Can someone help please

@Shreyabasarge   Auto recognized tracking is a feature called SmartTrack.  It doesn't give a distance and it never has.  I suspect that it might have to do with the fact that you can recategorize an activity.  A walk that is miscategorized as run would have the wrong distance.  Strides lengths are different between walks and runs.

You can't turn the GPS "on" for SmartTrack.  It was designed and released for trackers that don't have GPS connected capability, like the Inspire.

If you want to use the GPS in your phone you need to use the Exercise app.  This Help article can get you started using the Exercise app.
