Ive had a versa since aug2019 as on now I am on my third watch b/c of many issues. My current fitbit doesn't track my distance correctly. I received my replacement in June, before then I didn't have much of a problem with distance. The distance tracking on fitbit is always off in some way or another but never this much off.
1. TUE. I tracked my walk on a paved track the requires 8 laps for a mile. I used the app and it said 2.11mi pace 13'50. At the same time I tracked it on the versa tracker and I divided my times into two separate mile workouts and I got 2 readings of .61mi pace 23'50. IT'S SO OFF that is almost a mile difference. Do you know how disappointing this is when you are trying to improve your time and pace per miles and you get reading like this.
2. MON. I went walking with a friend that has a fitbit charge 3. We walked in her neighborhood. We know that starting at her house up the hill then down, around 2 cul de sac's, passed her house back up the hill gives you 1mi distance. We walked 2 of those and she tracked 1.9mi, my fitbit recorded .86mi.
I set my watch to track a 1mi run in that same neighborhood but my fitbit tracked a .58mi 15'53pace
I know all of the things that make our distances different like stride difference. We are both set to automatic hers are walk29.3 run38.1. Mine are walk28.1 run39.4. She is about a inch taller than me but that shouldn't account for such a big difference. I've restarted my watch several times. I run/ walk with my phone and my fitbit connected to it for a more accurate reading every time but its not working.
I haven't even had it for a year and I've gone through so much with it that I am ready to give up on fitbit altogether and never recommend it to anybody. My fitbit was a gift and a way to encourage me to get healthier and I have but in the past month it's has gotten impossible to track my progress accurately.
