Does Versa include SPO2?

I am curious if this device contains the SPO2 sensor that is hopefully going to add to the Fitbit abilities moving forward.

I keep seeing reference to Spo2 readings being available on Versa.  Is this available and if so, how is it set up?

Hi, SpO2 is indeed available on the Versa, but not yet activated by Fiibit. Maybe it will be acivated in the new Firmware update, untill that time you cannot use it or set it up, unfortulately.

I’ve been seeing it on Fitbit’s official site, under “what’s new.” Both Versa and Ionic are advertised as having it but apparently not active yet.

Sorry buddy, I don't think it'll ever happen. Fitbit Ionic has been
available for much longer, it's not supported.

Charge 3, recently released, it isn't supported.

I'm kind of fine it's not going to happen, what is bothering me is that
they are again pulling the same trick on their new products. They know what
they are doing, they choose to use this as a false USP.

My daughters bought me this for my 60th Birthday. I fly a paraglider and thermal to altitude and wear a Pulsox to monitor my oxygen level. I particularly asked them to buy this as it had the SP02 feature. I am beyond upset that it does not work. To put this in the advertising including the press release is totally false advertising, it is not misleading or an oversight it is blatant lies. I am a totally pissed off customer. I don't want to return it as it has sentimental value now and would look bad in any case I don't have the receipt, but I will be contacting the local trading standards as to your utterly unethical false advertising of a product that does not contain the features advertised. I have purchased a $14 Chinese rip off of your product and the SP02 works on it, it doesn't work well compared to my finger pulseox but heck it works and its not bad so shame on you that you can't make yours work and you are charging for the feature and advertising it.

This whole thing has me baffled. They first started selling Fitbits with
SPO2 sensors, what, about 2 years ago, and they still can't figure out what
to do with the sensors?

1. Let you monitor your SPO2 levels in realtime, also logged and easy to go
through so you or a medical professional can analyze them.
2. Use the data in the sleep tool to make the sleep level more accurate
plus help spot apnea and how severe it is.
3. Show it during exercise.

My only thoughts on possibilities;
1. The hardware doesn't actually exist.
2. It's there but defective.
3. They just don't give a hoot and are so used to bsing about it that it's
now part of their nature.
4. They bought or designed hardware without ever giving a thought as to how
to make it work. But considering how long its been, if there were problems
with the hardware, they'd have worked it out by now.

Instead they come up with meaning less answers - or ignore the questions.
They ought to be all over this thread.
