Hi all,
i just got got my Versa and for some reason I can’t get my default IOS emails to come through. I have received emails since I’ve had the watch, and they come up on my iPhone but not under ‘App notifications’ on my Fitbit app. My text and Snapchat notifications seem to be working fine so not sure what the problem is.

Check that you have emails turned on in notifications in the app.

Thanks

Oh thank god, I have this exact same problem and couldn't find anyone else with the same issue.
All other apps forward notifications just fine, but mail is not forwarding its notifications at all (and has never worked/this didn't suddenly just start happening).
Things I've tried:
Open to suggestions.

I'm thinking this feature is not available in IOS yet.

Having the same problem. Under the native notifications I have Calls, Text Messages and Calendar Events, all of which are work. Then under the sub category App Notifications I have:
com.apple.family (from the itunes family plan where my kid has to request any new app get installed)
Fitbit
Google Maps
Maps
Messenger (facebook messenger)
Weatherbug
Xbox
I can enabled the notifications for any of those and they work, but there's no where to enable notifications for Mail. Come on Fitbit, get it together. The Versa was supposed to be the first real competitor to the Apple Watch but it can't even get email notifications?

Well there's some developments on my end, sort of:
First off, unlike eskimo0101 I do and have always had the option to enable notifications for Apple Mail (it's just called 'Mail' in the list of apps to enable notifications on).
Secondly, I did eventually get notifications for some emails-- I noticed it was specifically ones from people I'd marked as VIPs in Apple Mail/Apple Contacts (I don't get many emails from the people I marked VIPs, which is probably why I hadn't gotten any notifications prior to my previous comment).
I tried removing the VIP status from everyone to see if it would enable all email notifications to come through (for whatever reason) and thus removing the VIP mailbox, but to no avail.
Since then I have gotten a few sporadic, inconsistent email notifications in no pattern that I can decipher whatsoever.

Had same exact issue, but figured it out. You need to receive a notification on your phone with Fitbit app installed and Versa configured.
- Ensure Mail notifications are enabled in iOS Settings > notifications.
// For me, I only have VIP in Mail enabled.
- Have someone in your VIP send you an email.
- BOOM, you get the notification on your phone, and now refresh Fitbit app “App Notifications.”
- “Mail” is now an option. Enable it.
- Now VIP emails received in the future show up on your Versa.
Sure I had received hundreds of notifications BEFORE installing the Fitbit app, but I hadn’t yet received a VIP notification since installing the app and configuring the Versa.
Hope this helps someone!

The key for me was at the bottom of the Fitbit app’s “App Notifications”:
“Apps will be added to the list after they send notifications to your phone.”

I noticed that I wasn’t getting them either. You have to turn banner notifications on for which ever email address you want to receive the notifications from. Send yourself a test email. The mail app should then show up in the list of apps for notifications in the Fitbit app.

In my versa, there is no place to enable default mail app of IOS, but ratherThere is no original IOS email app

I finally got the mail app to show up in notifications on mine. I had to open up Settings, Notifications, Mail and toggle the switch for “Show in History”. As soon as I did that and sent myself a test message to trigger the notification Mail showed up in the Fitbit app as an app to enable notifications for.

Can not get emails to come thru my fitbit versa. That's one reason I got a new one. I've had about 5 fitbits and so far am not happy with this one.

Have you tried the solution above? What type of phone do you have?

The solution posted by eskimo0101 should work. Turn on both show in history and show as banners
