@LizzyFitbit - it is impossible to track HR through tattoos?!?
That's ridiculous I've immediately cancelled my premium. I have one tattooed wrist and the other is being done in one month - so that means there is no point in even owning a fitbit.
What is this all about? Why can't it track through tattooed skin? It is still skin!
I love my fitbit but now it is rendered useless, unless I swap what I choose to do with my body which I shouldn't have to!
This needs to be sorted as I won't be fhe only one in this situation

Hi @Punkist86 over the years, a few members have posted with this problem. What seemed to work for them was putting a white medical tape under the sensor and it was able to pick up the heart rate and activities. The darker the ink and the skin seemed to make it harder for the sensor to pick up the data. Try using a white tape under the sensor and see if it works for you. Please let us know what results you have. It just might help the next person who has a tattoo.

@Punkist86 I wish the posts were still available, but they seem to have been removed. Fitbit often cleans out the forums, so that's probably why I can't find it. As I recall, it was a medical tape that would pull off easily when they wanted to shower. You might need to experiment with the various tapes out there. Let us know what you find. Surely you're not the only one sporting some ink!
