Dear Fitbit,
How soon can we expect a resolution to the Notifications Bug? Due to confidentiality issues with my work, I cannot have text previews show up on my phone. However, I do need to see them when my phone isn’t in my hands. One of the main reasons I bought a Fitbit was so that I could see messages with as little disruption as possible.
Thank you for fixing this problem ASAP.

@Scooper0111 You mean you do not want Versa to light up each time the notification is received? I am afraid this topic has been closed and the current setup is here to stay.

Quite the contrary. I DO want it to notify me on my wrist. But I cannot have the actual message displayed on my phone due to issues with confidentiality.

@Scooper0111 by on the phone I am assuming you mean a lock screen? If you're on Android you can hide sensitive content on the lockscreen so no message text will be displayed. Android Settings>Privacy>Lock screen

If they are having the same issue as me, they are not receiving text messages on their device, and rely on the notifications on their wrist to know what a text says because they can't access the information from their phone.

@1stRainbowRose I will admit I am getting a bit confused here, but this can be due to lack of caffeine. For Versa to display any type of notification, it needs to see it. It can see it only if the notification appears in the system bar (notification centre) on the phone. No notification there, no notification on Versa...

I have the same issue with IOS ...I do want text notifications on my Versa but can’t have previews on my phone. I do know that previously there was not a requirement to have text previews on my phone in order to receive notifications on the Versa nor for the Alta.
i don’t understand why this change has occurred and I respectfully ask that it be fixed.

So what I’m understanding is if I have my iOS phone set to show the preview of my text it’ll then notify me on my Fitbit versa lite??? I currently have my phone set to NOT show preview of my text.

Answered my own questions, set to show previews and now I’m getting alerts on my phone for texts. 🤦🏽:female_sign: I don’t like it, lol.

I understand that but since the update I no longer get notifications at all I just contacted support and they said there is no intention on fixing the issue so basically if you have an iPhone it will not show notifications anymore period. Very disappointing especially being a customer for over 5 years at least with an Apple Watch I can receive text

I spoke with a "Rona" through Fitbit support chat and they said they will be fixing it...and they usually fix with "newly released updates." But I am pretty sure there have been updates since this happened....sooooo no clue. Not happy about it.

I just talked to support a week ago because I upgraded to the versa 2 hoping that model wouldn’t have the notification bugs, but of course it does. Support assured me they’re “working on it.” Given that the timeline is now about 7 months of this issue, I do not think they intend to actually fix it and will likely be switching to an Apple Watch. Sad. Been a loyal Fitbit user for over 5 years.
