Exercise and active minutes not matching

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So my versa lite and the app both say no active minutes but under exercise it logged 2 half hour walking sessions and a half hour biking session and that is correct. I’m wondering why it didn’t log any of that under active? I know for at least one of those my heart rate was elevated a good chunk of the time.

Hello @Tosh22 when you look at these exercises and their heart rate. What does the graph show you? How many minutes does it show in each state of burn?

So for the first walk it shows 100% Fat burn with average heart rate of
103, for the others it doesn't show that it is elevated, but I would think
that the first half hour walk would count at least?

I’m having the same issue.  I did a 75 minute run today.  When you log into the exercise, it says 1:14:45 minutes in exercise.  Even though it isn’t showing the usual heart rate graph, it counted calories.  However, it did not log active minutes. On the home screen it is not including active minutes or calories burned in the total for the day (it’s only under the exercise).  It is counting my steps from the run in the total, but if I go into my steps detail, it is not included.

Ive tried logging out and logging back in.  I’ve turned off my watch.  I’ve tried deleting the app, turning off my phone, reinstalling the app and re-syncing but it’s still not matching.

I get that. Can’t speak to the OP (though I’ve had similar walks to hers and they should have counted as active minutes).  My run didn’t count as active minutes even though it was 75 minutes and 737 calories burned.  A4437F23-830A-49D1-9A8D-352C541B492C.png

As you can see in my detail, the time of my run (between 6:15 and 7:30 this morning) is showing stagnant info for calories burned and active minutes.

OP, is yours doing the same?

I just discovered the same issue. I was walking today almost a full hour, got over 8000 Steps during that. Steps where counted but no active minutes at all. I can't even say if it showed this morning. Just noted it when I was syncing my Versa and saw that it said: 0 active Minutes. During the Walk we did not stop so there would be no reason for the Versa to not count it as active

Upon closer inspection, it looks like it stopped tracking my heart rate between 9pm last night and 7:30 this morning (right after I finished my run). Zero sleep tracking also. I wonder if there was an update during that time frame that caused the glitch.

It picked up 32 active minutes over the course of the rest of the day during walks, but still bummed it didn’t capture my run correctly. It was a good one for the calorie/active counter! 😂

I am having the exact same issue with my Versa. I am wondering if maybe it is some sort of glitch? I went on a run today that was 36 mins and my heart rate was above 160 and it only gave me 11 mins of activity 😞

And again: same here. It looks like there was no heart rate recorded. It startet for me somwhere around noon according to the app. The active minutes where between 09:30 am am and 10:30 am. Still it says there I had only 8 minutes of heart rate measure during the Walk.....

I've restarted my Versa after my post here last night (for me it was last night - I am from Germany) because I saw also that my Versa did not show my current heart rate.

Let's just hope that our heart rate does not stop working.

EDIT: There where no issues today. Versa and App shows everything correct. HR is measured again throughout the whole day so far

So, if our heart rate dips at any point in each 10-minute interval, no matter how many total minutes of activity happen, it doesn't count. Got it. 😡

It really @Kiernla what fitbig looks for is high heart during a minimum of 10 minutes of acgivity.

Let's say if the heart rate gets raised for 2 minutes during a period when the user is sitting still, no active minutes will be awarded.

Now let's say the user takes a ten my unite walk and during this period 2 minutes the user was walking slower. These two minutes may not be counted and only 8 active minutes will be awarded.

However every thing has changed with active zone minutes where during a high heart rate it is possible to acheive 2 or more active zone minutes for 1 minute of activity.

Its happening to me too on my Inspire! But other way round. Its logging my active minutes but not my workout times. For example, I did a 30 minute workout today and got a notification to say it had been auto recognised, but when I logged on, it showed 30 active minutes and only 13 minutes workout in the exercise per day screen!! What is that all about? It happens often! I log off and on again loads and make sure the scanner on the back of the watch is clean so many times. Don't understand it to be honest.

I’ve been having similar issues with my versa lite for months now! So frustrating. It recognizes my active minutes & even tells me when I hit my goal that day but my daily workouts have stopped being auto recognized for so long. I mean, months at this point.  It’s really frustrating. Mind you this is a newer versa as I had to get my old one replaced. I’ve gone through so many Fitbits I think I’m just going to say goodbye for good and stick to the Apple Watch.
