was a Christmas gift. Worked ok but now I can’t open the exercise app. What can I do?

@mkmoore56 - if your watch is under warranty you can try a factory reset if nothing works.
But first try in the watch Settings scroll down to Shutdown and Yes. Wait 10 seconds and place on the charger to restart and charge it. It may be slightly different.
If you need to factory reset, in the watch Settings scroll down to About Versa 3 and select, Scroll down to Factory reset and select and ok.
