Feedback for Spotify app

I do like this watch quite a bit,  but I'm beyond miffed when it comes to how to get spotify to even be useful.

Sure I can figure out how to get the watch the control spotify which is fine,  but correct me if I'm wrong here,   since this is marketed as a fitness/smart watch,  shouldn't we be able to actually at least change songs while we're in exercise mode without jumping through hoops?  I understand you need to try and pair with versa 2 classic but this is terribly confusing and makes no sense we should have to do it every time manually if we want to try and use spotify.

Bottom line here is that I really wanted to use this watch to skip songs while in exercise mode at the gym using spotify but it just doesn't work.  If someone has a detailed order in which to get this to work I would love to hear it,  if not,  it seems that fitbit really needs to figure out a way for at least letting us premium subscribers skip songs while in a workout mode.   I understand how to swipe down and hit the music icon,  but this doesn't work.  It typically says that there is no local music on the device...  So basically even when I'm connected to spotify and I swipe down  to open the music icon,  it doesn't let me skip songs in exercise mode..

I have zero need to use my watch to play spotify when I'm not exercising,  so it's very frustrating to find that even after jumping through hoops I still can't get it to work.  Any advice would be great,  or hopefully fitbit understands it has some issues.

When you're using the exercise app and listening to music using Spotify, you'll have the following options: like this track, previous track, play, next track, open or clear the Spotify notifications.
