I understand there is an app for the Versa 2 available in other countries called FibriCheck, which can check for AFib much like the Apple Watch’s ECG. I saw an article that said the app got FDA approval in October of 2018. Any timetable as to when this app may actually be available in the US for FitBit Smart Watches?

Hi @thealphamare , a warm welcome to the Community! I apologize for the delayed response.
We haven't received any information on how the timetable for specific apps is looking.
I verified our app gallery for the watches (gallery.fitbit.com) and the FibriCheck does not appear.
On the other hand, I did some research, as I find your inquiry very interesting and found this site.

You better check with them if and how the app works with our products.
Remember that some apps are provided by 3rd party developers, and they have their own schedule.
Let me know if you found out more, and if I get more information, I'll be glad to share it here with you

Under the F.A.Q of the fibricheck webpage, it states that their app is only available "the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands and Belgium."
Sounds like a helpful app. Hope they are able to expand to other nations.

I'm sure there are FDA hurdles to get over. I am under the impression that in the US, you need a doctor's prescription to access to Fibricheck and that you use your phone's camera to monitor the pulse and it communicates with your doctor.
