Find My Phone app

Hello, I wanted to install the app called "Find My Phone" but my app keeps telling me that I need to make sure everything is updated but I have the app as well as the watches probably updated? No update is available for me and I don't know what else I should do to download this app.

Whats the app version?

In the phone Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

Help & Support

App Version at the top

 

Whats the watch version?

On the watch

Swipe left

Click on Settings

Scroll & click on About

Version near the top

Hello,

 

the app version is 3.36 and the watch version is 35.70.714. The app shows me that my watch should be up to date. 😞

Thats good feedback,

we need to update your Fitbit app and watch Firmware which is 2 releases behind.

The "Find My Phone" App is not available for that Firmware version so the Firmware needs updating.

 

To update the Fitbit App

Logout of the Fitbit App

Restart the phone

Go to the Play Store

Click Menu [3 bars]

Choose My apps and games

Choose Installed [at the top]

Find Fitbit and click update

wait for the update to finish

and login to the Fitbit App

 

To update the watch Firmware [although it falsely tells you its up to date]

 

You presumably have no prompt for a tracker firmware update at the top

So lets try to force it [it may or may not succeed]

Restart your watch

Put it on charge within range of the Wifi

Turn off any nearby Bluetooth devices

[except your phone]

In the Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

Click Set up a device

Follow instructions

 

If that fails inform Fitbit Support They will be able to force you the update and help you.

If it worked then you can find and install the "Find My Phone" app

So I tried everything, I managed to update the app on my phone but the watches are still "up to date". I will contact the support because some clock faces don't work as well since it's not up to date. Thank you however so much for your help.

No, not yet. I texted the fitbit support and waiting for their answer. If I will get anything or manage to download it, I will text you

So I talked with the Fitbit Support and i don't know if this would help you but I purchased my Versa 2 only couple of days ago. The update was also couple of days ago and it is possible that the update wasn't made for you, us, yet. He told me I should wait for few more days as they are still gathering info of how many devices of versa 2 is in total so they can send the update to everyone. So I hope that the update would come to me maybe in a week or something.
