Firmware update not sending notifications

Hi all,

 

I successfully installed the new firmware. However, my watch isn't getting any notifications. I've gone into all the setting possible, reset app, reset watch, and searched high and low here for any answers to no avail. Is anyone else having difficulty with this? Any ideas to fix?

I'm Android. I uninstalled the app on my phone, turned off and back on my phone, then reinstalled the app.  Then signed in, and did a set up, same as when first setting up as new. I'm now getting notifications.

I’m having exactly the same issue.  The update broke the notification link somehow.  No amount of reset, phone off and back on, Bluetooth off and back on, has fixed it.  FitBit, we need this fixed.

Well, nuts. 
Please, FitBit, help us out! Everything else is so wonderful, I'd hate for this issue to be prolonged.

I'm also on Android. I followed your steps, and have gotten back notifications for email and calls, but not texts. I've tried everything I can think of. I wonder if I should repeat your instructions...?

It probably wouldn’t hurt to try.  I’m using stock Messenger, and I got texts back.

Oddly enough, once I stopped messing with things for a while, I got my texts. I'm not using the stock message service so maybe it just took it's time. 🤷🏻‍:female_sign: At any rate, your method fixed it! Thank you so much!!

same here.. since firmware update versa text notification not working. sometimes I can see the text but my versa didn't vibrate.  For ringing and alarms my versa vibrates fine.. ive uninstalled and reinstalled the app, ive turned off the Versa, turned off the phone, went through my notifications on my phone and the fitbit app.  i can't figure it out. i'm on android galaxy s8.

I had noticed the same things. There's a setting somewhere to not allow notifications while in sleep mode and exercise.Pherhaps that would solve it? (I can't find the setting again after the second time I reinstalled, but it's better for me, personally, to not have the distraction.)
