FitBit heats up when sleeping

Hi Everyone,

I am new with FitBit and I bought my Versa 2 at The Source. For the past couple of days, I've been trying out new features of the FitBit. One of the features is tracking your sleep. So I put my watch on my non-dominant hand to go to sleep. A few hours later, I feel this little heat from the bottom of the watch and it made my wrist uncomfortable, so I took it off. I'm not sure if it is the watch itself because it doesn't heat up during the day. I tried loosen the strap - so it will not be to tight on my wrist. I'm not sure if it could be my body heat that is low when sleeping or the blood flow and the contact of the watch to my wrist would be hot, so it made it uncomfortable.

I talked to FitBit Support and they told me to send it in for investigation. I feel like I want to try it out for a few more days and I might send it in and get a replacement. Also if I send my FitBit in, would I lose all my data or can I transfer my data? Would I get back the same colour of my watch? Any other solution or description of why my FitBit is heating up is welcome.

Thanks.

Hello @michaelc92, welcome to the Community Forums! It's a pleasure to assist you today.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and taking the time to share your experience with your Versa 2 device. certainly, your device isn't working as the way it was designed. Since you already received assistance from our Customer Support team, my best advice for you at this moment is to contact them back if you require further assistance or if you have any additional questions about the information that they provided to you for more details.

If you don't want to loose the data that's on your device, prior returning it you can sync it up with your account so all your stats are transferred. For details about the replacement order, feel free to contact our Support team as per mentioned above.

Let me know if you have more questions for me to answer.

Hi @RicardoFitbit,

I seem to not have this problem anymore. For the past week, I do not feel any heat when sleeping.

Thank you for your response.
