Fitbit Update 1/10/19:
Hi all!
Big thanks to everyone for your feedback on the release of Fitbit OS 3.0!
Since the majority of users have now updated to 3.0, I will be closing this thread from further comments to help keep our Community discussions on-topic.
If you are experiencing an issue outside of the firmware update process, I invite you to start a new thread on this forum and we will be happy to assist you there.
Thanks again and happy stepping!
Fitbit Update 12/26:
Hey, everyone! We're aware that some of you may have noticed a fast battery drain on your Versa watches after completing this firmware update. Our team is investigating the root cause of this issue and whether it was caused by this update or other factors are involved.
In the meantime, if you're experiencing this problem please try a restart on the device then consider switching to a Fitbit made clock face! Many 3rd party clockfaces (especially those with animations) are known to use up more battery. If you try this out and are still seeing a fast battery drain, we can connect you with Customer Support for next steps or you can reach out to them and create a case.
We look forward to getting you all back on track!
Fitbit Update 12/22:
We've released Fitbit OS 3.0 out to 100% of users. Please make sure you have the latest version of the Fitbit app (2.84) before downloading the newest firmware.
We're excited for you all to have the newest Fitbit OS, but please let us know if you have any questions about this update. Happy Holidays, everyone!
Hi, everyone!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 3.0! (Firmware Version: 32.33.1.30)
We've started to roll out this update and it's currently out to 20% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Versa users can expect to have it soon. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
WHAT'S CHANGED?
Please check out this help article to see what's new in this update.
HOW DO I UPDATE?
Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here. We recommend updating your Versa over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Versa to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into trouble updating your Versa, please follow these steps:
*If anyone isn't seeing the TODAY app after updating, please try the following:
1. Make sure you're running the newest version of the Fitbit app (version 2.84)
2. Connect to Wi-Fi in the Fitbit app, plug your Versa into the charger and let it sit. This will automatically update the Today app.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have questions, please let me know in this thread!

Try restarting your Versa. I had the same issue. Syncing with the Fitbit app didn't work, so tried restarting my watch, and the weather showed up now.

After this week’s app update, my Versa alarm goes off every 10 minutes all day long! The reminders to move are turned off. I’ve already tried all known suggestions, like logging out of app, turning off Bluetooth, rebooting phone and watch, etc. but nothing works. It is wearing down my battery quickly. How can I make this stop? It is so bad, I don’t even want to wear it.

I waited awhile and synced it with the app and it finally showed up

Finally got my update last night after the pink message disappeared for a while and then I put my fitbit in the charger. Thanks everyone!

I got the pink update icon, put my versa on the charger and started the update. It finished after about 10 min, but still shows the old version when I check the app: 32.32.12.19. Any ideas what went wrong?

The banner has gone from the forum website, does this mean update is available to all again or is it
being phased again? No sign of it here yet! Had the option appear yesterday before it was pulled but didn’t have WiFi available so missed it!
The wait continues!

@zinzan not sure yet! Hopefully it will roll out soon. The moderators haven’t changed their latest update on the first page, but hopefully it’s coming back soon!

Got the update yesterday, took ages to download and install it over bluetooth (tried through wifi but it did not work).
Since then, battery has been draining drastically... Got my versa fully charged before going to bed and 4 hrs later, the watch turned off with flat battery and my sleep pattern wasn't registered. Charged it fully this morning again and I'm monitoring battery closely now. The draining seems to keep on, perhaps slowlier than last night.
Could it come from the connection with Fitbit app ? Maybe trying to connect to Wifi or so ? My Versa seems to have trouble finding Wifi in the Fitbit app and for example, I cannot update my Deezer playlists.
Any idea on what I should try ? Factory reset ? Is there a way to make a clean install over again ?
That's really a bad timing with holidays and I'm wondering if I should use my old Blaze over holidays as I won't be home and able to charge the versa every 4 hrs or so. What a pain in the neck...

I wish it was as easy as you suggest. I have tried everything. I have followed the instructions and still nothing. I have pushed the buttons as suggested and the Fitbit will not switch off. I can't charge it, I can't sync it, I can't update it. This is a really horrible experience and I can't wait to ditch my Fitbit. I have removed the device from my account and now I can get my phone to recognise the Fitbit so the whole process is useless. I have attempted to contact support however everything points me back to the community. I can't even get in touch with support to find out how to get my issues resolved.
Has anyone got any ideas? How can I get in touch with support?

I don't have deezer or Playlist but thats how my versa is. Dies after being charged in about 4 hours. I did a factory reset of the watch and nothing changed. It's very frustrating.

Well just died after 4 hrs and a half this afternoon too 😭 And I didn't even try to switch on an activity including GPS... Very disappointed here
