Big thanks to everyone for your feedback on the release of Fitbit OS 3.0!
Since the majority of users have now updated to 3.0, I will be closing this thread from further comments to help keep our Community discussions on-topic.

Fitbit Update 12/26:
Hey, everyone! We're aware that some of you may have noticed a fast battery drain on your Versa watches after completing this firmware update. Our team is investigating the root cause of this issue and whether it was caused by this update or other factors are involved.
In the meantime, if you're experiencing this problem please try a restart on the device then consider switching to a Fitbit made clock face! Many 3rd party clockfaces (especially those with animations) are known to use up more battery. If you try this out and are still seeing a fast battery drain, we can connect you with Customer Support for next steps or you can reach out to them and create a case.
We look forward to getting you all back on track!

I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 3.0! (Firmware Version: 32.33.1.30)
We've started to roll out this update and it's currently out to 20% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Versa users can expect to have it soon. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.

HOW DO I UPDATE?
Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here. We recommend updating your Versa over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Versa to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into trouble updating your Versa, please follow these steps:
*If anyone isn't seeing the TODAY app after updating, please try the following:
1. Make sure you're running the newest version of the Fitbit app (version 2.84)
2. Connect to Wi-Fi in the Fitbit app, plug your Versa into the charger and let it sit. This will automatically update the Today app.

Tyler, I dont think here is a way to know if we have missed another update until Fitbit tell us it's at 100% and our Versas havent updated. In another thread I asked if Versas that didnt get 32.12.19 will get 32.33.1.30 automatically or if we have to do factory resets to get past that bug but I havent gotten a response yet. I suspect some of us may have to do a factory reset and hope for the best but I'm hoping for a reply from Fitbit first.

I have done factory reset but was not able to get the new update. So I think we have to just wait for it to appear by itself.

After update, my clock face had been changed to something basic and now I can't change it to any other face (update from today, 12/20/18). Have restarted both phone and Versa. Any suggestions?
ETA: Started working after awhile. My guess is the internet connection was getting hammered after everyone updated?

How do I know if I am among the 50%?" ---- 3.0 was released to first 20% just a few days ago, and to the next 30% today, so you can work out how soon soon is 🙂 Look at your Versa/Ionic page on your mobile app, it will say if there is a new update available for you to install. You can't miss it. If it's not there, then hopefully... soon

Roll out of OS2.x was much slower and hasn't completed, it's replaced by 3.0 now. 3.0 will come automatically, but you still have to press on the install button in the mobile app to make it happen - once this becomes visible. Not visible - it is not there for you yet, be patient.

I got the update, my last weeks worth of hourly step goals disappeared and todays don't show up on the app. I see them on the Versa.

Hi. I still do not have the update available. Eagerly waiting. How would I know when it becomes available? Also, will this update fix the issue with horrible sound from bluetooth speakers/headphones? Thnx

So far.
1) Music control is working! OMG! ... but with Google Play Music doesn't regognize any songs - "Artist info is not available" C'mon Fitbit.
2) "Connected GPS is running" notification is often stuck on the phone. Only way how to get rid off it is to force close the app itself.
3) Screen Wake - Manual - still doesn't disable the "double tap" feature to wake up the display. This is really stupid and annoying during the night!
4) Treasure Trek (official Fitbit app) is no longer counting steps. It's stuck on one number.
Other: Logging weight from Todays screen is great (EDIT: It doesn't work actually. Synchronization, synchronization, synchronization... ). Battery life so far without any noticable change. Font in the Settings menu is bigger.

50% is rolled out, so nothing will happen before the next batch is being rolled out.

It says in your fitbit mobile app under the Versa page (maybe home page), something like "new version is available" and you can click on it to start the installation. You can't miss it.

That's a problem with your headphones (cheapo's??), not with fitbit Versa or bluetooth. There are other earlier threads on this. I have the Flyer earbuds and consider the sound as excellent. Also has a bass-boost. It is possible that the sound is better via mobile, it depends on the bandwidth/datarate that is being used (at the expense of poweruse) on mobile vs tracker. Again... the flyer gives really good sound quality.

My today app in my forbit only shows 3 stats. Went into settings, nothing, restarted it, checked if it was connected to wifiand left it in it’s charger and still only 3 stats show, none of which are important to me.

Can you please change this new feature?
I would rather not have messages be on display for anyone who can see my watch. It would be nice if it only vibrated without turning the screen on.

All stats will eventually appear, some take a day or two (sleep patterns among others) to load and become visible. Sleep pattern presumably only after synchronisation anyway. So be patient -- and post again in a day or two if you still have not got the complete set of stats in today

Hi there I can not update or sync my versa! I tried switching phone off and on again that didn't work then I tried to take the versa off my phone and reinstall that didn't work every time I try to update I keep seeing a red cross on my versa I don't know what to do help please!

I cant be the only one having this problem.
Uninstalled app, resetted phone, resetted watch, resetted bluetooth, unregistered my product, nothing works. Funny side, I cant seem to get the watch register again. Soooo weird.

I had .15 and today I got .30 bypassing .19, so I think other people on .15 will go directly to FitbitOS 3
