Fitbit Update: 9/16
Hi everyone,
We’re excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 4.0.1, available for Versa and Versa Lite
(Firmware Version: 68.9.12).
We've begun releasing this new firmware to customers. This is a progressive rollout which means everyone will receive it at different stages until it has been completely released to all users. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.
WHAT’S NEW AND FIXED
This release includes bug fixes and improvements.
HOW DO I UPDATE?
Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here.
To update Versa Lite Edition, leave on all-day sync and let the Fitbit app run in the background on your phone. When the update is ready, you’ll see a notification in the Fitbit app.
If you run into any trouble updating your Versa or Versa Lite, I recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
We appreciate your patience while we work to roll this out to everyone.

Excersise app has stopped working since firm wear update. Auto detection still works but when going into app to use weight lifting and interval training app closes out before I can choose either. Same with coach app.

I'm in the same boat as everyone not receiving the notification popups after the update 😑
Like I'm receiving the notifications but they r not showing automatically, I've to manually keep checking by scrolling down weather or not the I've recieved any notifications 😑
Also the only notifications being pushed are phone calls, that too without any name and phone doesnt seem to know if I'm asleep anymore like it used to mute my notifications once I fell asleep
For the spam calls it will even wake me up in middle of the night!
Thanks for breaking the watch 😑
* I'm on Versa Special Edition 1st Version
* DON'T ROLL THE UPDATE IF U GIYS HAVENT CHECKED ON UR SIDE FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!
* U guys dont seem to give a F about users, considering u have recieved hundreds of comments here and hardly replied once or twice
* have some option to revert back to last stable update 😑

I have the latest versa update and my IPhone 11 pro max does not receive text messages. I get phone call notifications and everything else syncs just fine, but no text messages. When will this be fixed before I have to go to a different smart watch that will give me the notifications I need?

Is this firmware release also for the versa? My app says my versa is up-to date but it has version 33.1.30
my Fitbit says it has version 32.33.1.30

I saw the notification last Friday but I was in the optometrist office. Later that day I went to update the firmware and it was no longer an option. I keep checking and it still has not returned. Will I still get the update

I hope this firmware update means that if not my Versa, at least my phone app will be able to talk to my fitbit dashboard.
Deeply annoyed that y'all made it impossible for my watch to talk to my computer and blithely decided that i could just upgrade to Windows 10 from my Windows 7 platform. I don't like 10, it creates its own problems with other programs of mine.
Help me understand why if it's on my phone that my phone can't just pass the info along. When I used to sync with the phone, that sync would show up on my dashboard,

To everyone who is upset about the update being pulled, don't be. Fitbit has probably pulled it because virtually everyone has had issues with notifications since the update. They are more than likely working in a fix and then will release that update (hopefully to the users affected first).

It's 100% fitbit & the last two updates causing the notification issue. Rolled my fitapp app back to previous two updates to version 3.3.1...... All Notifications working!
I've tried everything fitbit have suggested to get my WhatsApp, app notifications working, and got quite upset as at point I was made to feel dumb, and nothing! I Roll back the app... Everything Works again!

They can consider themselves the lucky ones. There are other issues besides just notifications. If you use your Versa to control the music on your phone you most likely will also have a issue with that too. Many can get it to pair to Versa classic Bluetooth, but it will only stay connected for a minute or two. Then Versa music control says no phone connected. 😞 I did get my Versa so the messages go to it, but you have to look for them because it will not notify you that they are there. So then what's the point.

Ever since the firmware update, I am no longer receiving text message notifications. I've read the various forum posts on how to resolve the issue - I've tried all of it (Bluetooth, uninstalling/reinstalling the app, making sure I'm using the native texting app, restarting the Versa, making sure do not disturb is turned off) and I've had no luck. Fitbit Versa, Android 9 (all software updates have been made). I receive other notifications (calendar and phone) but not text - only started happening after the firmware update and I changed no settings. Anyone else experience this? Any ideas on how to resolve?
