Fitbit Pay unable to register Versa on initial setup

I’m having issues setting up my wallet. I keep getting “unable to register device. Please try again later” message every time I try. I’ve talked to support and we tried all the usual fixes. Still no luck. They have sent “my case” to a higher support staff and I’m waiting on a response. Curious if anyone else has had this issue.

@Jennamarie_j Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry to hear that you aren't able to setup the Fitbit pay feature on your Versa. Where did you buy this Versa? In which country did you purchase it? Is it a limited edition watch? Does Fitbit pay shows in the back of your watch? Could you share a picture of the back of your Versa?

I look forward to your reply!

Hello and thank you.

Yes its a limited edition, yes it says Fitbit pay on the bottom of the watch inbetween aerospace grade aluminum and pure pulse heart rate. I bought the Fitbit off Fitbit.com and I bought it in the untied states. I will try to upload a photo of the versa and the message.

@Jennamarie_j thank you for your quick update. Please do add a picture of your Versa. Feel free to follow these instructions on how to add one to your post. Now I suggest you restart your Versa by doing the following:

1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

Remove the Fitbit Pay app, sync your Versa and install it again. After this retry setting up the Fitbit pay. If the issue persist consider doing a Factory Reset by going to settings > about > Factory Reset. You will need to setup the Versa again.

Keep me posted!

So for some reason I don't have the option to upload a photo, edit or delete a post. I'm on a laptop and my iPhone. What am I missing here?

@Jennamarie_j try uploading the photo using your computer's web browser. I suggest you try Firefox or Chrome to upload the picture. This should help editing your posts.

I look forward to your reply!

@Jennamarie_j thank you for following my suggestions as now I can see the pictures. Is there anyway you can try using a different phone (maybe from a friend or relative) to setup Fitbit Pay on your Versa. This is just to test it out on a different device (don't leave your personal information on the other phone).

Let me know if this is possible.
