Fitbit Pay

Hi

My new Versa 2 works fine when I make a credit card payment. However my credit card remains on the screen for up to 15 minutes before reverting to the login screen (passcode entry). This is a security issue as far as I am concerned.

I have completely reset my watch / phone in the app and tried restarting the watch several times but it doesn’t correct the issue. These measures were advised by the Fitbit support crew.

As yet I have not found a remedy And the Fitbit crew are still working on it too.

How long should my credit card details remain on my watch screen after making a purchase? How do you switch them off? I have found that if I take my watch off my wrist it will revert to the passcode screen.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Paulhawk, welcome to the community.

 

Pressing the back button on your Versa 2 (going back to the clock face) will remove your card from the screen and stop the payment mode. You will only be able to successfully make a payment when the card is visible on the screen, so that means physically invoking Fitbit pay and putting your wrist to the terminal. As an added security measure you will also be asked to unlock the wallet after 24hrs or after taken the watch off (whichever comes first).

I have tried the button but it does not work.
The only way that my cc details can be removed from my watch screen is to take the watch off my wrist.

Does the back button work at all, even for other tasks?

Yes the back button works.
It will go back to the watch face screen but if I hold it it will go back to the pay screen showing my cc details.
