Fitbit Versa 2 Music Controls

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello everybody,

my girlfriend and I have had the Versa 2 since the first day and unfortunately are disappointed that some things don't work reliably.

This includes the music control of the mobile phone. After the first setup it worked wonderfully, a few days later nothing worked anymore.

If we now want to control the music on our mobile phones (Samsung Galaxy S9 and OnePlus 6 [both supported according to Fitbit]), we either get the message "Music control: No smartphone connected" or "Music control: Music can start from smartphone".

Before I had the Fitbit Ionic and the first months the music control didn't work either, after some updates it worked sometime.

Have you noticed anything similar or a solution for us?

Already done (without success);

- Decoupled and recoupled

- Fitbits reset

- Bluetooth restarted

- Mobile phones restarted

I am having similar issues. I'm able to get music control to work by disconnecting and reconnecting Fitbit Classic a few times, but it's very frustrating to have to do this each time I want to control music playing on my phone.

I am having similar problems with Music control on my Versa 2. My phone's  bluetooth is connected to Versa (Classic). I can see whatever song is playing on my phone. I can skip a song once and then the music controls cease to function. It still displays the correct song but any attempt to change the volume or skip songs doesn't work. I am playing music over the Amazon Music App on my phone. I have Android 9 on a Oneplus 5.I have followed the instructions in the manual and in the forum on discussing the Classic music controls. Does anyone have any advice on what else to try before I send this thing back?

I am easily able to skip and back up media from many apps on my phone via bluetooth controls in my car so I do not think the problem is my phone. I have rebooted multiple times and connected / disconnected the bluetooth Versa (Classic) countless times.

This really falls short of my expectations for such an expensive device when much cheaper trackers manage this critical feature.
