Fitbit Versa 2 draining fast

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa 2 used to hold a charge for at least a week. Since the app updated I have encountered endless problems. My fitbit was charged fully yesterday and within 24 hours the battery has completely died. My fitbit is over three years old and have had zero issues with the battery in the past. Beyond disappointed.

I have the same issue. It used to last a week, but now I have to recharge it every two days. Mine is also 3-4 years old.

Hi there @KevinSW, thanks for joining this thread.

Taking into account the potential effects of charging time and duration on all types of batteries. It is typical for any device's battery to not last as long as it does on day one. I sincerely hope you can understand, but I'd also like to give you the chance to get in touch with our support team to learn more about your warranty alternatives.

Mine is less than a year old and the rapid draining started just a week ago. I have checked all settings and Bluetooth is off. Has never been wet. Battery drains flat in about 6 hours whether I move or not. Have cleared the cache and gone through the checklist you provided earlier in this thread. Restarted watch. Nothing helps.

That might be nice. Yesterday it started bootlooping at around 30%, and eventually it turned off and now it doesn't do anything anymore no matter how long I press the on button. When I checked the support pages it told me they don't exist.

I had the same thing happen to me about 5 months ago. I charged it over and over again and kept doing the button hold thing until it mysterious restarted. I do not believe that this is a battery issue.

I've done the check list, I've cleared the cache, done everything you've suggested to others in this thread and I'm lucky if the battery lasts 3 days. Is it possible that fitbit needs to come out with a firmware update to address this issue?

It's sad. They used to have the option to choose how often to sync and stuff. Battery life really went down when they removed said option 😔

While batteries do drain overtime, there is no natural phenomenon that causes a large mass of people who have the same product to all experience massive battery drain at once. Please find and solve this issue for us.
