My Fitbit versa 3 won't charge, is it the charger or the device.

@melita2480 The Versa 3 was discontinued three years ago, so yours is at least that old. The rechargeable battery may be at the end of its lifespan. I would try troubleshooting the charger before giving up on it though, because the Versa 3 is a really nice watch.
Do all the pins on the charger have the same height? If not, the charger may be defective. You can buy a replacement on Amazon. If the pins look fine, try using a different charging block and a different electrical outlet.

Since skins cells can build up and cause the pins to loose connection, you need to gently clean them with a pin or needle to remove the dirt. I just use a push pin. Clean well around the edges too. You should be able to connect well. You can confirm a good connection by looking at the face of the fitbit versa to see that charging is in process. I use the phone app to monitor the charging. Usually gets to 100% with in an hour or two.

Just to be clear, when I say to clean and remove the dirt it is from the back of the Fitbit Versa on connection points. I do check to see if the connection site needs to be cleaned on my Versa 3 prior to each charge. I went through the same issue and found that the cleaning actually took care of the lack of charge issue.
