I've had my Versa (original model, not 2 or 3) for about a year and a half now. Both the right-hand side buttons stopped working a while ago; first the bottom one, and then the top one a few months later. I was able to deal with it b/c you can use the on-screen buttons for most things instead. The left button still works fine.
I've had intermittent synch issues. Usually, resetting Bluetooth or rebooting the phone works. But recently, the Fitbit stopped synching and those steps no longer work. Other weird symptoms are, the clock is running VERY slowly, as in about 1/2 speed, so the time is off by about a day now and increasing by about 12 hours/day. My pulse is detected at 160-200bpm. And once or twice, it showed the Fitbit logo for several minutes before going back to the clock face. Otherwise, it still seems to be detecting steps and activity, although it thinks I'm exercising all the time.
I had a custom clock face, but I reset it to the standard one. Other advice seems to be to reboot the Fitbit, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that without the right-hand side buttons working. I did try letting the battery run to zero, thinking that would power it off, but when I connected the charger it returned to the same symptoms.
Anybody have any ideas on this? It was set to continuous synch before this started happening. I hope I don't need a new Versa after only 2 months; my Charge 2 lasted for almost three years before I had to replace it due to a dead battery.
