Fitbit Versa Lite - Not receiving notifications on OnePlus 5T

I bought a Fitbit Versa Lite a couple of days back and I'm terribly disappointed that I'm not receiving notifications on my OnePlus 5T mobile. It's shocking to note that Fitbit claims that they have tested their wearables only with OnePlus One, a smartphone that was launched 5 years ago. With the market share of OnePlus soaring in India, Fitbit must keep testing their wearables across newer models and make them compatible on them without any hassles. I hardly receive notifications for 30 minutes and all of a sudden, notifications stop coming on my Fitbit. I'm asked to restart my smartphone, but that has not helped either. I've tried doing everything -- removing the device from the app and adding it again, turning off the Bluetooth and turning it on again, unpairing and pairing the Fitibit, etc. Nothing works.

The only workaround I have figured out is uninstalling the app and installing it again. But even then, again the same cycle continues. I receive notifications only for about 30 minutes. Again, I need to uninstall the app and install it again for getting notifications for 30 minutes. This is a very tiring and irritating process. Having spent a bomb on the Fitbit, I seriously do not know what I should do now. Can someone help me with a permanent solution? Will asking for a replacement work by any chance?

@Priyadarshini, welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Versa not getting notifications from your phone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. As you mentioned your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.
