Fitbit Versa Locked

Hi All,

My Fitbit Versa is locked. I tried unlocking it with my phone with no luck.

I then removed the device from my Fitbit app on my phone and now I cannot reconnect my Fitbit with my phone as I need to view a PIN, to which I can't, as the Fitbit screen is locked.

How can I fix this problem?

Accepted Solutions

To unlock with the phone, your Versa needs to be connected to your Fitbit account.

Now that the Versa has been removed, we need to do a factory reset.

Fitbit OS hardware reset.

On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This will trigger the 2-button hardware restart after about eight seconds.

- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, whilst continuing to hold the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.

- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.

- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

Sorry, this was not an acceptable solution.

After the hard restart, the fitbit still comes on as it was before and is still locked.

@Nelly85 a hard restart is when the device is shut off, then turned on. You say the the Versa is locked which means that there is no way a hard restart can be done. Besides a hard restart will not fix this, you most likely need to do a factory reset.

But I'm curious if the Versa is still asking you to on lock with phone.
