Fitbit Versa: Watch won't charge, only shows 0% sign

Hi,

I'm at a loss for what to try with my Fitbit Versa.

I've had no problems with it until last week I put it on charge at 7% but after a whole day on charge it was still on 7%. The battery logo on the watch had the lightning bolt to show it was charging but the battery % never increased. I tried a reboot on the watch but this didn't help. I took it out of charge to try with another versa charger (to check that wasn't the problem) and still had the same issue. Regrettably, I then left it off charge to the point where I am at now where the watch is completely dead and still will not charge.

Now the only thing I can get the watch to do is show the 0% screen if I hold the buttons. Other than that, the watch face stays black and never increases charge.

Is there anything I can do at this point or is my watch completely dead?

Would appreciate any help.

Many thanks,

Danielle

Hi @daniellesnillum,

Have you checked to make sure all the charging ports and the contacts on both the Versa and the charger are clean?

Also, it needs to be on the charger for at least 2 hours to get a decent charge.  I know you mentioned you had it on the charger all day, but I thought I would throw that in there in case you were wondering.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have cleaned both the charge and the watch itself which hasn't been any help. I have also left the watch charging for hours at a time but the battery still doesn't increase.

It seems to recognise being put on charge but can't seem to add any battery power... Frustrating.

Have you found a solution for this? I'm having the same issue!! It's been almost a year for me

Unfortunately not.

It seems to have completely died. Mine is still under warranty so can send it back to be repaired or replaced (but the company is currently closed in the pandemic)

Having the same issue. Has anyone figured it out yet?
