Fitbit Versa Won’t sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit Versa has been working fine. I recently lost the charger then found it about a week later. I charged it up and right off the bat after I charged it I would have syncing issues. I did all the steps Fitbit has provided to try and get it to work then did research by myself and nothing has seemed to work.

When I wake up I notice that my time is off and it can’t find my Fitbit. Later on in the day it will sync but eventually id says my Fitbit cannot be found. Slowly by slowly my time gets off and my exercise won’t count. I’ve noticed people also had an issue in 2018 but it’s been years since then.

If anybody has any tips or ideas please comment.
I have an iPhone 11

There is something wrong with the watch if it loses time.

This may have been caused by a recent update, as it was working previously.

Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

I honestly think that Fitbits are ticking time bombs!!  I think they work great, for a year. Then they slowly start to lose time. You try everything to reset and get to a point where it won't turn on and you end up being suckered into getting a new one. It affected my versa 1, lots of people had the same issue. I'm waiting to see what's happens with my versa 2. Its kinda odd.

@AngieLH

The losing time issue appeared after an update.

As a result in all probability it is not a watch fault per se. More like a software or watch face bug.

My versa is not synced for 5 days and doesn't lose time, no watch should.

Hi Mia!
I’m having the same problem in 2021 with my Versa 2..... I have an iPhone 10 and everything seems to be up to date. My watch half synced yesterday so my stats showed up on my app but then it said watch could not be found. Every time I shut it off or turn it to diagnostic mode, I lose a couple of minutes.

I just contacted Fitbit support and used the live chat function. They asked me a couple of questions and did a transfer of information, I closed the app and reopened to find that my watch synced correctly and the time was fixed. Hope this helps.
