Fitbit Versa and Huawei P30 Pro

I have just purchased a Fitbit Versa and after several false starts, it is now working with my Huawei Nova 2i. However, I am considering upgrading my phone to a Huawei P30 Pro, but am put off by the number of problems people are having. This is an amazing and very popular phone, and has been on the market since April, so why is it not listed as a supported phone? Has anyone successfully synced a Versa with a P30 Pro?? Or maybe I should return my Versa and get a different device that is supported, which would be a shame as I love the device, but I don't want it if it cant receive notifications.

Well I went ahead and got the new phone (Huawei P30 Pro) and everything is working well. I followed the instructions on this video and everything is working fine 😊https://youtu.be/a91CDZh3LlQ

@AnneJay Go with your gut feeling on this. Read the Versa forums - see the issues.

Can you afford to ignore them? 😉

I wish I had not when my Versa 1st failed at 2 weeks old.

Next 12 months I kept on getting fobbed off by chat or phone support until the warranty ran out.

My Versa is 15 months old. £200 wasted. I am stuck with a device that is barely functional outside of the gym 'needs wi-fi or Bluetooth' to maintain connection & record outdoor activities or it will the lose the workout data on me.

Yet Strava that is linked via FitBit & my Versa manages to record the outdoor activity in full.

Sept 20 2019 Apple smartwatch series 5 GPS is released. £100 more 'but with a lot more features' than Versa 2.

The Apple series 3 GPS has already fallen in price to £199.99 - same costings as Versa 2. GPS+Cell is £399.99.

Apple will not work on Huawei though.  Has to Be Apple Iphone 6 with iOS 11 or later.

Blaze, Surge, Ionic and Versa1. I am not a FitBit employee.

Thank you for this. I'm not impressed that they can't get things working with a very popular and very good phone. I only got my versa 10 days ago so might be able to take it back. I couldn't get my existing Huawei phone to sync either but with help from You Tube it is now working. My gut feeling is very confused!! 🙂
