Hi There!
My versa loses connection with my phone (nexus 5x) during bike excercise and thus shows no route on the map. I know I have gps, because Strava app shows it right.
Is this a bug in the software from the Versa?
I tried to start an excercise from fitbit app, but only walk, run or hike does gps. (no bike. why not?!?) so i choose hike. now i have a hike excercise with hr and ps data. this this excercise shows after sync with strava in strava as hike. in strava i change hike in bike.
now i have bike excercise in strava with hr and gps. after a while just from magic, the ecercise in strava has been changed back into hike again with no hr data anymore.
I know that fitbit versa is not a swiss watch, but at least it should be working as advertised!
connected gps is not not working. People at Fitbit, can you fix this?

For me yes 2.74 works great for GPS but it breaks something to do with syncing apps and watch faces, it gives me an error.

I agree. Having to jump through all these hoops just to get it to work properly is infuriating. I mean, this is Fitbit..the only thing they do is make fitness trackers. It should be their specialty. Why can't they get these issues straightened out? I understand a few bugs every now and again, especially after they roll out a new update, but this seems like it has been an ongoing issue for months.
That being said, I will google how to roll an app back to a previous version and see if that fix works. Thank you for the suggestion.

@dave_in_ni I noticed that too. Some apps do not always work properly (3rd party) and the weather on my watchface is no longer getting refreshed. It's weird because notifications and sync work without issues.

I've gave up trying now. I downgrade to 2.74 and even that didn't connect.

@Marrrmaduke .The weather problem is probably because of a change in the Yahoo Weather API. Any Clock faces that are using that weather will need to be updated.

Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy Tablet
UPDATE:
If your connected to Strava, there will be a map on the Versa, but if you
are connected to Strava why would you need two two map. That is my own
opinion. What I want to see is the distance I have gone, as I am peddling
my bike. The Versa just can not stay connected.

My problem too. I loved my ONE and after 4 years and a cracked face I thought I'd upgrade by asking my husband for the Versa for Christmas. So disappointed. Not counting steps properly and not tracking mileage properly. THAT is why I wanted it! I run between 5 and 8 miles each morning and it only tracks me at 3ish. I can no longer compete in challenges and it's hard to train for races with inaccurate info. Fitbit told me to go find a track outside (its 20 degrees here) and measure a mile and then count 20 steps but run for 10 minutes and then measure...WTF?

Still doesn't work. Fitbit support has asked me to do a factory reset of the watch, but made no difference. "Connected GPS" doesn't seem to stay connected to my Samsung S9 for more than a few minutes. During walks or bike ride, I see the "connecting..." message most of the time.
Disabling wifi doesn't make any difference, nor "locking" the Fitbit app, staying connected etc.
I have spent several hours now trying many settings, resetting the device and it simply doesn't work.
It's to wonder what sort of testing Fitbit does, particularly when using with a common phone like a Samsung S9.

Guys,
I'm not sure exactly, this problem is completely resolved. but last two Exercise (19 KM Bike ride & 5 KM run) there was no issue with the Connection. GPS connected perfectly to the phone without much issues. This is after my latest Firmware update '32.33.1.30' & my upgrade of Fitbit app to the latest Android update. I had tuned off the battery saving mode in the phone & locked the app during my last two exercises.
I hope this continues & Versa Behaves similarly in future. do let me know if anyone also had this experience. I will also keep posting after my runs during this weekend.

I am on the latest firmware on the watch and latest version of the Android app, and have repeatedly the same issue. Fitbit app is excluded from battery optimisation.

Try once, without any battery optimization feature on phone. as this kill the Bluetooth connection sometimes which are associated through the apps.
I had terrible issue with this watch earlier. but its better with my last two runs.
