Hi everyone!
I am considering of buying a Fitbit Versa but I want to be sure that it is suitable and helpful for the physical activities I usually do.
Have ever used it for tracking activity during Crossfit training? Is it suitable to monitor such activity or is it not possible? Is there a Crossfit setting among the various types of available activities?
Thank you for your help!

Hi @paola182 , there is a Third Party app called Gym Genius that performs Crossfit Workouts. There are two things needed to let it work with Fitbit and Versa:
1. It's not a free app, you have to pay for it
2. You need to create an account at https://www.geniuswrist.com and a subscription is needed to unlock all the app's features.
Go to app - all apps and search for Gym Genius and you will see all the details. regards kuzibri

Thank you very much @SunsetRunner ! This is very helpful!
Have you used this app before? Looking at the website, it seems that you define your workout, with number of sets and reps, but then are for example the calories burnt calculated based on your measured heart rate and/or accelerometer data or just on the basis of pre-set info on that particular exercise? Will the calories I burn actually calculated or will it consider just pre-set values (for example, let's say that in the app it is set that 10 calories per burpee are burnt)?
Also, do you know if you have to press something on the Fitbit screen to move on to the next exercise on the list of will everything be detected automatically?
Sorry for all these questions and thank you for you answer!

Hi @paola182 , unfortunately I do not have answers to your questions cause I never used the app before myself. I just knew the existence of Gym Genius. What you can do is contact the developer and ask him/her your questions. On the bottom of the page of the app you will see "contact the developer" , press that and you can send an email. Hello Paola,
I would recommend not buying a Versa as they have tons of issues. If you want to save money, I would suggest using the old-fashioned method of placing your index and middle finger over your ulnar/brachial artery and counting your beats, then recording this in an ancient media called pen and paper. This is the best known practice for avoiding technical issues, and unhelpful customer support as you would be the only one to blame.
If you want to spend money, buy an Apple Watch and an iPhone.

Hi @paola182 , thanks very much. I would like to bring some nuance regarding the problems with Ftbit devices. I use Fitbit devices now for 5 years (Surge - Blaze - Ionic - Versa and now Versa 2) and never, really never, had any problems with these devices I was not able to solve myself. Most of these devices I used for 1 year, except for the Blaze which I used two years untill the Ionic was released. BTW, when you considering to buy a Versa, why not buy a Versa 2 for the same price (my Versa 2 lasts 7 days on one charge)? Regards kuzibri
